Getting involved to set an example
As a child, Anne-Marie played almost every single sport! For this communications and business professional, an active childhood is a happy one. In her eyes, the lessons she extracted from playing sports, particularly perseverance and respect for others, have been useful in order for her to build her flourishing career.
Like many young women, Anne-Marie decreased her practice of physical activity in her teenage years but she always missed playing sports. Today, she’s the mother of two children, including a six-year-old girl who shows more and more interest in sports daily. Annie-Marie encourages her kids to stay active and she tries to serve as a good role model for them by making smart choices.
With the strong belief that a healthy mind and body are key to contributing to an overall healthy society, Anne-Marie is delighted to be involved in the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Challenge. She hopes to lead by example and inspire people to become more involved in physical activity.
With her university studies in communications and political science and a master's degree in military and strategic studies (an asset when it comes to business development!), Anne-Marie is not afraid to choose the road less travelled. Strongly involved in her community, this Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at the third largest printing company in Canada, sits on several boards of directors and acts as an ambassador for a number of charities.
