Cultivating greater health, a lifelong pursuit!
Sévrine and sports became friends at an early age and over the years, she’s been lucky enough to try out a myriad of physical and athletic activities that have all fueled her long-term passion. But she wouldn’t exactly say she’s an athlete. To her, what counts in life is a healthy balance between work, family and personal well-being. But she recognizes that finding that balance isn’t always easy, especially with a career like hers, which has been going at a sprint since she started working.
Despite her professional commitments, this mother of two boys has always worked hard to cultivate greater health for herself and for her kids, who began taking part in sports at a very young age. In those days, she didn’t always have enough spare time for her own physical activity, but she kept the kids moving constantly. Ironically, it was her son who got her back into running by inviting her to enter a 5k race. And she’s been on the run ever since. Today, she’s trying to do the same with her own mother, by inviting her to take part in the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Challenge. For Sévrine, it’s a great way to do what she loves with someone she loves. It’s also a nice complement to her other health and well-being initiatives, like practising yoga and cooking delicious, nutritious, plant-based meals for her family. Here too, it’s all about balance.
Today, with a BA in communications and political science and an MBA to her name, Sévrine is the President and CEO of Femmessor, a rapidly growing and highly successful organization dedicated to female entrepreneurship. It’s a position that offers her the challenges she needs to thrive while fulfilling her desire to contribute to the development of a more just and inclusive society. And for that, we applaud her.
