FitSpirit is pleased to present this team's leader as part of the 2022 edition of the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Challenge:
Karinne Bouchard
Corporate Director
Staying active to better manage anxiety
Karinne Bouchard has a demanding job that involves a lot of travel. Still, despite her busy schedule, she finds time to exercise three to four times a week. It helps her reduce stress and fosters her mental well-being. Without physical activity being a staple in her life, she does not think she would have accomplished all that she has.
Karinne decided to participate in the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Challenge because it supports a cause close to her heart. As a teenager, she didn’t prioritize physical activity and would have liked to have access to a program like FitSpirit to motivate her to take action. Therefore, she encourages her 14-year-old daughter Méhanne, who suffers from anxiety, to play sports and take advantage of the mental and physical health benefits of exercise.
"I like the FitSpirit Mother/Daughter Challenge because it gives us the motivation to train, a goal. It’s an activity that my mother and I can both do together. I enjoy knowing that I’m helping in my way to get teenage girls be active." – Méhanne
Proud to have managed to reconcile work and family, Karinne strives to dedicate a lot of time to her three children. To achieve this, she believes that one needs to be resourceful and have their priorities in order. Thus, despite her ambition, Karinne has always been careful not to be a workaholic to avoid ‘missing out’ on the childhood of her offspring.
Holder of a bachelor’s, a CPA certification, and a Master’s degree in finance, Karinne is Corporate Director. In addition, she sits on the boards of directors of Alimentation Couche-Tard, Stingray, Chocolats Favoris, FSAB, FitSpirit as well as CQCD.
